Zaragoza Weekly

I'm currently working on a new blog called Zaragoza Weekly. It's an idea I had had swirling about in my head for a while. Basically I'll blog Zaragoza from my point of view. My favorites spots, things I recommend, places to eat, the city as I breathe it and see it. I'll include audio and video in upcoming weeks.
More or less I want it as a project to force myself to produce writing, photos, video and audio so that I can get into a nice work rhythm.

Getting organized

The hardest part about getting organized some will say, is throwing out stuff you know you don't need but hold onto anyway.
But getting organized is also applying your time wisely to things that you are going to take advantage of during the day. In my case, practicing guitar, learning or memorizing new tunes, and going through my guitar parts for upcoming shows. Lyrics are sometimes stubborn and with my tendency to play without a set list, I waste time on stage. So knowing what songs you know ( yes, sometimes I don't remember what songs I know ) is a time saver. Maybe I should make a set list and deviate from it if necessary but have it in front of me so that I know what I had in mind more or less for a certain show.

Getting organized is finding the moment to work, to take a nap, to surf the web, to go out... to make the phone calls that have to be made, to work, to play... it's all part of getting organized. and so is just letting loose and forgetting it all,... for a litt…

what's going on...

Gotta get back into the groove, writing I mean... It should be a daily thing.
Mostly I read... a lot. I seem to have an addiction to the Nytimes ( since I first got on the web back in 97, it's the only page I visit everyday, more than my email)
and lately I can't seem to stop checking out the Huffington Post and wherever they may lead with their links and connection to other sites. Blame it on Obama . Before the election I didn't care much for these blogs, I would listen to or watch stuff on msnbc (website, I live in Spain), but not care at all for something like the Huff until I began to realize they really condensed things well and led you to some great stories you might otherwise miss. Plus the comedy roundup, some entertainment news( sometimes bordering on gossip, which I don't care too much for )
anyway... I read and then always get my own thoughts about what I just read but don't write them down because I move on to the next article or whatever. I think to mysel…
