Boston and Berklee 1994

Mientras tanto, a crear nuevos recuerdos.

It's been almost 20 years since I spent an incredible summer at Boston's Berklee College of Music taking a five week guitar course. It included playing in various bands ( pictured is a small concert with the jazz group). With the blues band we got to play on the last day of the program in the big auditorium. We played "Wonderful Tonight" ( Clapton) ,  "I Never Loved a Man" made famous by Aretha Franklin but mainly because the girl that sang in the group loved The Commitments. We also played an original track from one of the singers in the band.
It was a really nice summer, 4th of July was incredible, caught John Williams and his Boston Pops by the Charles River, I believe.  My family and me staying on Beacon Hill right across from the State House. It was incredible being in that area of the city and walking to Berklee every day, crossing Copley Square and just enjoying my stay.

The most incredible part was taking in all the music at Berklee, 24/7. The library with all the cds, and videos, sheet music... just a great learning environment.
I went back to Santo Domingo with an open mind and new ideas on how to approach my music.
It was a good summer!
